Ahmed A. Alaradi (PhD)

Ahmed Alaradi (PhD) has about 30years of rich experience at various levels and across different countries. He is currently treasury Vice president (VP) at the Gulf Investment Corporation (GIC) – Kuwait, where he is responsible for Structuring, Managing Money Market, FX portfolio treasury and Sales/marketing of Islamic treasury bonds (SUKUK)

Before joining GIC, he was Head of FX Trading and structure Sales at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) in the UAE for 3 years, after briefly serving in a similar capacity at the Al Rajhi Bank - Riyadh/Saudi Arabia. His earlier career had been at Daiwa SMBC Bank, London/Dubai – U.A.E and at ABN–AMRO Bank – Bahrain where he concentrated mostly on trading.

Ahmed Alaradi holds a Ph.D. in Ecometrics from Bircham International University – Spain and a B.Sc. in Economics from the Pacific Southern University- Los Angeles U.S.A

Dr. Ahmed Alaradi has joined Standard Financials Ltd- Cameroon as a Managing Partner, with focus on developing a Fund that will invest in high growth sectors (such as Micro-Finance, Agro-business, ICT), with prospects to extend to other Sub-Sahara African countries. He will also be providing Islamic Finance/Investment advisory services to targeted clients and institutions.
